  1. You wrote two separate rubrics/criteria for both press releases. However, the goal was to get only one from both: What common characteristics do you see from both of these examples. You will also want to get more specific with your responses. For examples, you say "informative." What does that mean? What instances of language use gave you that assumption? You also say "serious." We can often hear a "serious" tone when someone is speaking just by the sound of his or her voice, but how does that come off in a press release?

    You'll also want to consider the purpose of a press release: To not only get information out, but to get information out that could be bias. A company sends out a press release when they want to get a particular message across, thus that message is already skewed and may not be entirely "true" (whatever "truth" actualy means).
